Summary

As a designer joining at the last stretch of the project, I was brought on board as an additional pair of eyes and hands to help out. My tasks ranges from QA testing to bug fixing to UI/UX design and getting the chance to help out in Localization.

Job details

  • Did multiple playthrough to find and report bugs 

  • Handled contact and task responsibilities with an external QA for a month

  • Helped to fix some level design bugs and suggested various areas to smooth out the gameplay

  • Picked up several existing systems to fix bugs

  • Improved on the finalised version of the UI in Figma from the previous UI artist

  • Tweaked UE5 widgets to reflect the design in Figma

  • Used keys and string tables to create text required for localisation

Project summary

Hirogami is a 3D action platformer inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami (paper folding). Everything you encounter has been crafted to convey the physical, often fragile, natural world of paper, amidst a story interwoven with threads of wistful intrigue.
